Huerta Victorious At Belasco Theater; “Chimpa” Back On Track

Super Featherweight Charles Huerta (20-5, 12 KO’s) said he didn’t want to take on inferior any competition and tonight he got exactly what he asked for from the tough Miguel Angel Gonzalez (21-3, 18 KO’s). The two determined fighters turned the Golden Boy promoted main event at The Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles into a very entertaining battle.

Huerta started off the fight confidentially and took charge right away. A hook to the body put Gonzalez down on all fours but that was mistakenly called a low blow and was not ruled an official knockdown. Another well placed body shot also drew a warning from the ref but again it was a well placed blow to the liver. Although the body shots hurt Gonzalez the fighter from Mexico was determined and turned the eight round affair into a very competitive scrap.
